Fine, I'll plant my own damn Kale!

Exciting News! We have a plan to plant a TON of Kale! In the Spring!

Big thanks to Dave Bernstein of https://www.dbcustomhomes.ca/ for the land. We are still working out the details, but we have a plan for spring 2022!

It has become difficult to buy Vates Kale Seeds (the kind of Kale you see most often in grocery stores in Southern Ontario.)

All the seed places I call in Canada can’t get me enough seed. (You get the oil from the seed.)

I used to be able to just walk into the local seed supply store and grab a 50 lb bag of Kale Seed. The last year, during and after both Harvests (spring and Fall) I cant get seed. I have asked everyone I can findwho sells it a bunch of times.

So David and I will plow some fields and plant a lot of Kale (I saved some seeds).

This is a 3-5 year project and we are in year 2 I think…
