Field of Kale Crops Planted!

Thank you for the visit.  I am glad you found Kale Oil.

Unfortunately, in 2019 I sold out of Kale Oil to three custom cosmetic formulators. I couldn’t keep up the seed supply for cold pressing the oil.  I bought all the seed I could get my hands on from everywhere I could find!

Also, because of Covid, when I have found seeds, the prices have risen dramatically.  A 50 lbs bag of Vates Kale (Scottish Blue) seed went from $400 to over $2000. Nuts!

Now I still cannot get the seeds!  I have tried many ways. I can only import 1 lb at a time without proper licences, forms, designations and permissions. A LOT of paperwork!

Soooo, I have planted my first field of Kale this spring.  Kale goes to seed every 2 years, so my first seed harvest is in 2023. In 2023 Ill plant my second field so they can alternate between plant and seed.

I will keep you posted if things change and I can get more seed!
